Dr. Shapiro explains why he prefers using braces instead of aligners when a case involves torque and moving the root back and the crown forward.

“I always try to convince the patient to do braces for 6-9 months, and then if we need to fine tune some things, we can do aligners after,” Dr. Shapiro said.
