In this case, the doctors recommended removing the two lower premolars to make room and bring the lower jaw forward.

The patient’s previous treatment flared the lower front teeth out way past the chin so the lips strained when they closed.

The doctors placed the lower front teeth back over the bone that supported them, leaving a large “overjet” that allowed the surgeon to bring the lower jaw forward, improving the profile and airway
